The Barbie movie is smashing records left, right and centre with its box office success, including having the biggest opening record for a movie by a female director. So naturally, it's turned our social feeds pink, with its on-the-nose script and soundtrack inspiring numerous TikTok trends.

By now we've all seen countless ‘Hey Barbie!’ renditions, right? And the latest format gaining momentum is inspired by the Kens' Mojo Dojo Casa House scenes.

To anyone who's not seen the movie (you need to book your tickets, now!) and is wondering what useless linguist named something with three words meaning the same thing, we can assure you that's exactly the point, and is the quip that a quick-thinking Barbie retorts when Ryan Gosling's Ken introduces his ridiculous newly broified Dream House.

To explain: the Mojo Dojo Casa Houses in the film are what materialises when Ryan's character learns about ‘patriarchy’ in the real world and returns to tell his fellow man dolls all about it. In no time the pink Barbie homes become fully-fledged man caves, covered in horse paraphernalia and decked out with mini fridges and other stereotypical man merch.

These frat houses are also the place where as part of their plan to prevent the Kens taking over Barbieland, some of the Barbies are tasked with distracting the guys on a date night to ensure they miss a meeting at the Supreme Court.

In a highly relatable montage, the dolls sit through movies with a side of mansplaining, or a beer-fuelled tour of Ken's prized possessions, all while expertly feigning enjoyment at their toxic masculine Kenergy. There's then a scene where the Barbies all sit around campfires with a respective Ken playing guitar to them, which leads to a bust-up when the dolls pretend to lose interest and flirt with a different Ken to the one who's been trying to seduce them.

Now, women (and some men) have been taking to TikTok to share their experiences of real-life Mojo Dojo Casa House date moments.

Using the soundtrack Push (as sung by Ryan Gosling) and with the tags #Barbie and #Ken users are reminiscing about being hit with Kenergy. @theloudestsoprano jokingly captioned that she gets “flashbacks” when she remembers being sung at on dates.

Giggling in her video the overlay reads: “It's the way that every single girl has an experience where a guy silently forced them to sit and listen to them either sing or play the guitar for a long period of time, and I think that is true strength because mf took it and never spoke of it again.” [sic]

Responses have flooded in from other women including: “it was freestyle rap for me” and “I got a trumpet”, while someone added another relatable Mojo Casa behaviour: “that and going through his camera roll, like don't need to see 4,599 pictures in your camera roll”. A trend which is also illustrated by user @abbyweisser's video.

Which moves us on to a perfect reaction to the trend from user @johnjohntoks who posted a bemused looking video of himself with the words “Me realising she never actually wanted to go through my camera roll with me”.

“It's the same thing as having the guitar played at you!” wrote one user in the comment.

Adding to the reminders that the Mojo Dojo dates are far from fiction, other videos add to the list of scenarios with experiences such as being expected to sing a guy's praises for gloating about his basic cooking skills.

Let's be real, we've all been there: wondering how long an ego display is going to carry on for, and trying not to sweat. Sharing your talents with someone new is a great way to get closer, but as the movie shows: having only one person in the spotlight for too long isn't fun for anyone. We're all Kenough, right?
