The Philadelphia Eagles continued their march to the Vince Lombardi trophy as they overcame the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship game. It is time for their fans to celebrate the big win. But an incident between the two fan bases has spread like wildfire. Amid the Jalen Hurts drama, the Philly fans bombarded the visiting Niners fans with eggs.

The Niners struggled the whole game and lost heavily in the end. But the post-game treatment of the traveling fans didn’t go down well with the NFL world.

The viral video spreads like wildfire

A video is viral on social media in which the Eagles fans heckled the Niners fans after their win in the NFC championship game on Sunday. Nobody bats an eye until it is only heckling. But a group of Eagles fans didn’t stop there. They threw eggs at the visiting fans.

Joey Bosa’s “Homophobic Response” to Eagles Fans During Intense Standoff Before 49ers Matchup Leaves NFL World Irked

Here is the video:

The NFL world cannot believe what the Eagles fans did, and that too after making it to the Super Bowl. Many fans called the Philly fan base classless. Others are happy the Niners group didn’t escalate things. A fan thinks the act of throwing eggs at opposing fans is classless.

Throwing eggs and other stuff at random people you don’t know just because they support a different team…

…that’s just so classless.

This fan is surprised that Eagles fans did not shoot the Niners fans.

An Eagles fan is in awe of how the Niners fans laughed the incident off.

That's cool that they laughed that off idk if i could've been as accepting of disrespect and I'm an Eagles fan

Another fan has a hint of sarcasm in their response to the incident.

The Eagles probably lost a supporter due to the egg incident.

I was going to root for the Eagles in the SB, maybe not so much now they are dirtbag fans huh?

Another fan pointed out that eggs don’t come cheap.

The Philly fan base needs to reign in some of the crass elements in them. Whatever may be the case, Jalen Hurts and Co. are through to the Super Bowl after the Niners’ demolition.

Jalen Hurts demolishes the Niners

Jalen Hurts showed why he is one of the best dual-threat QBs in the NFL. From scoring touchdowns on the ground to running away from pressure to get a first down, Hurts did it all. And his team gave their QB able support.

Hurts threw 15 completions for just 121 passing yards. He didn’t throw a single touchdown throughout the game. But the Eagles scored four rushing touchdowns including one from Hurts, through a cheeky QB sneak play. The Niners’ offense couldn’t settle in as their QB Brock Purdy went out with an elbow injury in their first drive of the game. The Eagles won 31-7.

Hurts and Co. will meet the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl in two weeks. Who will come out on top?
